Dr Glenn Platt: Eddy is an energy management tool that’s designed to help people save energy by giving them really detailed information on how much energy they're using and where it's going in real time. It does that through an app or a web page where people log in and they can see at any moment how much electricity they're using, and to what appliances that electricity is going.

Not only can you find out where the electricity is going, Eddy actually allows you to control things remotely, so you can reduce energy consumption by making better decisions about what you leave on, and if you head out for the day you might realise that you accidentally left the air conditioner on, well through Eddy you can turn the air conditioner off, and save even more energy.
