C3 Booking Software

Once you are a registered user, you can log on to our secure booking site and book in your sample to be set up using our Phoenix nano-dispenser.  Then you bring or ship your sample to us, and we will run it when you booked.  This same portal is used to book time for a custom screen to be made for you on the Tecan liquid handling system.  When you book in your sample, you will get an email telling you that you have booked in successfully.  When we finish running your samples or custom block you will get another email which tells you the barcodes associated with the plates we set up for you.  The barcodes can also be found on your booking in the booking software, once the experiment has been completed.

The booking software also allows you to reserve time on the microscopes at Parkville, and to book time to use the Zetasizer light scattering instruments at the Burnet Institute or St. Vincents Institute.  There is also a link to the booking service for the Fluidigm microfluidics crystallisation at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute.

There is a lot of information that you must provide so that you get sensible results when you view the results, for example what sample you have, and what screen you want us to use, and what temperature you would like.  This information must be provided in a formatted file, which must be uploaded when make your booking.  We can directly upload this file into Crystaltrak, which minimises typos and ensures that every plate we create for you has the right information associated with it.

You can book time for your sample without attaching a batchload file, but the booking will disappear in an hour unless you go back and attach the batchload file.  Bookings made without batchload files appear pink in the booking calendar.
