Australian Course in Macromolecular Crystallisation

The second Australian Course in Macromolecular Crystallisation (ACMC_09) is to be held in Melbourne from the 7th to the 11th of December, 2009.

The course will consist of lectures in the morning (Monday-Thursday), with lab based practicals in the afternoons of Monday - Thursday. On Tuesday evening, the participants will be introduced to the automation at the CSIRO node of the Collaborative Crystallisation Centre in Parkville. The laboratory exercises will be held in the beautiful new biochemistry teaching labs in the Medical Building of the University of Melbourne. The Australian Synchrotron has donated a day of time to the course, and participants will spend a day at the synchrotron for hands-on experience harvesting and cryo-cooling crystals. The lectures will emphasize practical aspects of crystallisation.

As the course is limited to 20 students, we are going to select these twenty from the list of people who have sent back the expression of interest form by 25th September, 2009.
