Publication Policy

The Bio21 Collaborative Crystallisation Centre must be acknowledged in all publications that result from samples submitted to the centre, or samples run on equipment provided by the Centre.  Failure to acknowledge the centre may result in further samples not being accepted from that user.  We require that an electronic copy of all publications arising from work performed in the Bio21 Collaborative Crystallisation Centre be provided to the facility manager (a pdf version of each published article should be emailed to: c3@csiro.au within a month of publication).

The payment of plate charges does not absolve the user from the usual obligations of authorship for publications coming from work submitted to the Bio21 C3.  If intellectual contributions were made by the staff of the centre then those staff should be considered for authorship.  See the joint policy document “AUSTRALIAN CODE FOR THE RESPONSIBLE CONDUCT OF RESEARCH”  from the National Health and Medical Research Council (NH&MRC) and the Australian Research Council (ARC).
