MEDIA ALERT
Forest management can either conserve or squander the resource. Australian
science is playing a leading role in supporting sustainability in our region.
CSIRO is at the forefront in helping Indonesia and other tropical countries
manage their forest resources. Better understanding of soil, water and nutrients
leads to increased and sustainable production, and allows due care for the
environment.
The focus of a new book is on the use of plantation forests.
