Is the world really warming up? Are humans to blame?
How reliable are the predictions of future climate?
CSIRO has set up a special World Wide Web site offering clear explanations and the latest research on Greenhouse, the ozone layer, El Nino and how they might affect Australia.
The special Web site will be launched at this year's Australian National Field Days in Orange, NSW, 11-13 November.
The information comes from CSIRO and other sources - for example the Commonwealth Bureau of Meteorology, Environment Australia, University of Sydney, Queensland Department of Primary Industry and the United Nation's World Meteorological Organisation. Other sources will be added as the site is developed over the next few weeks.
Visitors to the Australian National Field Days will be able to sit down at computers to check the latest information on what lies behind the words greenhouse, global warming, climate change and El Nino, on how scientists measure and model climate change, and how we can turn around the adverse affects.
