OCEAN OUTLOOK: REPORT

The Minister for Industry, Science and Technology, Senator Peter Cook, will be presented with the final Report from the Ocean Outlook Congress in a function at Parliament House, tomorrow, Wednesday, 2 August 1995 at noon.

The function will be held in the Senate Alcove (second floor). Light refreshments will be served following the release of the Report.

Ocean Outlook, held in November 1994, was organised by four of Australia's leading marine science agencies - the CSIRO divisions of Fisheries and Oceanography, the Australian Institute of Marine Science and the Australian Geological Survey Organisation.

Senator Cook, the chairman of the steering committee, Dr Peter Young, and other committee members - Dr Chris Fandry, Dr Russell Reichelt and Dr Chris Pigram - will be available for interview on the contents of the Report after the hand over.
