Senator Peter Cook, Minister for Industry, Science and Technology will launch CSIRO's latest initiative to work more closely with small to medium enterprises (SME's).
The Initiative is the Industry Liaison Managers Network, a $3 million, three year program and is part of the Federal Government's Working Nation initiative.
CSIRO's Institute of Industrial Technologies has established a network of Industry Liaison Managers who, over the next twelve months, will contact 250 companies, get to know their management and their business, and jointly make an assessment if the business could benefit from CSIRO involvement.

Senator Cook will also launch a booklet, 'Putting a Value on Informal Industry Contacts with CSIRO', which highlights the results of a recent survey of the value of informal contacts with CSIRO.
