Media representatives are invited to attend the presentation of the CSIRO Medals 1995 and the Chairman's Medal 1995.
CSIRO Medals
The CSIRO Medals were established in 1985 to honour excellence in Australian research to benefit the nation. This year, three medals will be awarded to CSIRO staff to mark outstanding achievement or leadership.
One medal will be also be awarded to members of a research organisation other than CSIRO.
The Chairman's Medal
First awarded in 1991, the Chairman's Medal honours the very best in CSIRO research. Prize money of $25,000 and a gold medal will be awarded to the scientist (or team) whose research is of national or international importance in advancing scientific knowledge, technology application or commercialisation.
