CSIRO Education – South Queensland has relocated to the EcoSciences Precinct at Dutton Park. Hence please note that our contact details have changed.

Since 1989, CSIRO Education has provided innovative and engaging science programs to schools around South Queensland. We aim to engage, enthuse and educate students, teachers and the wider community about science and its applications. It is supported by Education Queensland [external link].

 

School programs

We offer hands-on science classes and shows that can visit your school with experiments and demonstrations for all year levels on a variety of science topics.

Teacher professional development

We can travel to your school with stimulating curriculum-relevant professional development sessions for both primary and secondary teachers. For further information on options available please contact the South Queensland Manager.

Scientists in Schools

Scientists in Schools is a learning experience that allows scientists and schools to work together across Australia in flexible, professional partnerships. CSIRO Education in South Queensland provides support to local Scientists in Schools partnerships.

CSIRO's Double Helix Science Club events (South Queensland)

We offer science activities and excursions for Double Helix members and other children across South Queensland. We also provide holiday programs for children of various ages.

A variety of options exist for libraries, vacation care, gifted and talented associations, Scouts and other groups to have access to our range of hands-on workshops. For further information on options available please contact the South Queensland Manager.
