Conductivity probes and cell
Conductivity and impedance measurements
CSIRO can assist with conductivity and impedance measurements for new materials.
20 July 2009 | Updated 14 October 2011
Research into new materials demands advanced methods of characterisation.
CSIRO's expertise and equipment in materials characterisation can help establish electrical/ionic conductivity values for your new materials.
CSIRO can help with both conventional bulk solutions and speciality measurements, including:
solid state data collection
small sample amounts (liquids 2-3 ml; solids 200-300 mg)
low conductivities, down to 10-7 Scm-1
temperature dependence, over a wide range of temperatures.
How the service works
Researchers and industry concerned with materials characterisation and research and development can use CSIRO’s specialised equipment on a not-for-profit basis following a brief introduction.
CSIRO's range of testing equipment includes:
Agilent 4284A 20Hz-1MHz precision LCR Meter
Schlumberger SI 1255 HF Frequency Response Analyse
Schlumberger SI 1286 Electrochemical Interface
Metler ToledoSeven Multi
Eurotherm temperature controller
Electrodes and cells for various applications.
