CSIRO's Titanium Challenge is back in 2012, and it's bigger and better than before! This year you can enter either an Additive Manufacturing Challenge, or a Materials Challenge!

The 2012 Titanium Challenge winners

Congratulations to the winners:

Winner of the 2012 Additive Manufacturing Challenge: Matt Troup of the University of Canberra, for his design for a titanium pack. Matt wins the CSIRO award, and the 3D Printing Systems printer.

Runner-up, 2012 Additive Manufacturing Challenge: Man Singh of UWA for his design for a carbon fibre-titanium sandwich composite material. Man wins the Coogee TiRO award, a trip to the AeroMat 2013 conference.

Winner of the 2012 Materials Challenge: Kimberley Taing of Monash University, for her paper "It's what's on the inside that counts" describing the application of advanced processing in titanium to watch manufacture. Kimberley wins the Boeing award, a trip to Seattle to tour the Boeing Commercial Airplane assembly plant.
