Australian National Algae Culture Collection
Algal Culture Facility
The algae collection is housed in a purpose-built, Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service AQIS QC5.2 accredited algal culture facility consisting of controlled-environment rooms and cabinets.
Algal culture technologies range from small to large laboratory scale and include fermenters and 50-litre photobioreactors. Associated analytical facilities provide advanced algal research capacity.

More than 300 microalgae species are maintained under controlled conditions at the Australian National Algae Culture Collection.
