About Social Bookmarking

Social Bookmarking is a system for web users to store, organise and share links with friends, family, colleagues and people who share similar interests.

Social Bookmarking websites, like Digg and Delicious, are free to use but do require you to create an account through which you can store and manage these links with relevant tags and categories.

The links you store on these websites are usually publicly displayed in chronological order (and/or by categories or tags) and in the case of Digg other users viewing your stored links can choose to ‘digg’ or vote for your content to give it a higher ranking.
