We help protect our Australia's productive industries, environment and human health from pests and diseases by assessing the risks they pose, prioritising the pathways of entry and providing new technologies for surveillance and early response through sensor networks and autonomous platforms.
Inspired by nature, we are developing new materials and devices that can be applied to food manufacturing, healthcare and Australia’s biosecurity and defence efforts.
Working with government and industry, we're protecting our agricultural industries from emerging infectious animal diseases entering and establishing in our waters and on our land.
Our research to assess and understand the risk of entry, establishment or spread of pest and pathogen invasions will continue to help Australia maintain its favourable biosecurity status.
We are developing robotic and sensor systems to assist in surveying, monitoring and tracking pests and diseases and improve efficiency and capability in biosecurity systems.
