How to find us
We are located at 5 Portarlington Road, East Geelong (at the corner of Boundary Road). A golf course and the Botanic Gardens are to our west and the salt flats to our east.
Tip: If using a GPS please enter - Corner of Boundary and Portarlington Roads, East Geelong.
Geelong is located 70km south-west from Melbourne via the Princes Freeway. Travelling time by vehicle is approximately 60 minutes from the Melbourne central business district.
Travelling by car
Directions from Tullamarine Airport to ACDP (formerly AAHL) – approximately 75 minutes
On leaving the terminal car parks take the road to Melbourne then exit onto the Western Ring Road and head in the direction of the West Gate Freeway.
At the West Gate Freeway exit turn right onto the Princess Freeway and head west towards Geelong. The distance from this point to the outskirts of Geelong is 60kms.
At the outskirts of Geelong the freeway forks, stick to the left lanes and head towards Geelong City Centre (avoid the right lanes to Geelong Ring Road and Great Ocean Road).
Freeway ends and you’ll continue for 11km, passing industrial and residential areas, then Ford factory on your left. Pass over the railway and the road then becomes Latrobe Terrace and heads up-hill.
Just after Gordon Tafe, turn left into Ryrie St and proceed 4.8km. Just after the Botanic Gardens you’ll see the ‘TryBoys’ gym, turn left at the traffic lights (cnr of Boundary rd) into the entrance of CSIRO - ACDP.
Directions from Avalon Airport to ACDP (formerly AAHL) - approximately 25 minutes
On leaving the terminal car park turn left, then enter the Freeway towards Geelong. At the outskirts of Geelong the freeway forks, stick to the left lanes and head towards Geelong City Centre (avoid the right lanes to Geelong Ring Road and Great Ocean Road).

Travelling by rail
V/line - approximately 60 minutes plus 10 minutes taxi
V/line trains run regular services from Southern Cross Station (Spencer Street Melbourne) to Geelong and their timetable can be found on the V/line website.
The central Geelong station is the next stop after North Geelong. From the station to ACDP by taxi is approximately 10 minutes.
