What is the purpose of this study?
Through this survey we want to understand your thoughts on citizen science, even if you've never heard of it before. We’d like to know what would make you want to join us in health and wellbeing citizen science projects. We'd also like to know what would stop you from joining in. We also want to know which areas of health and wellbeing research you think are the most important for us to investigate together.
What is involved in participating in this study?
Participation involves completing an anonymous 10 min survey which is hosted on Qualtrics.
The survey will cover the following topics:
- Your understanding of citizen science and its terminology.
- Your motivators and barriers to volunteering in science.
- Your priorities relating to health and wellbeing research.
We will also gather some demographic information about the people who participate in the study (e.g. gender, education level).
Who can participate in this study?
Participation is open to people who are:
- aged 18 years or older.

Will there be remuneration for my time?
Participants have the opportunity to enter a prize draw to win one of ten $100 digital vouchers at the end of the survey. You will be given a code word and an email address to send your entry to.
