A satellite conference to ComBio 2008 assessing future strategies to develop improved plants for agriculture and bio-fuel production and to assess the performance of plants in natural environments.
General Information
The impacts of global climate change and drought on the environment and agriculture, coupled with the need to increase the supply of food and bioenergy for a growing world population, provides plant scientists with a major challenge.
This symposium brings together a diverse group of scientists to discuss future strategies to improve crops, to produce bio-fuel and to assess plants in natural environments.
The symposium is jointly organised by CSIRO Plant Industry and Plant Energy Biology Australian Research Council (ARC) Centre of Excellence.
Program
The program is as follows:
This symposium brings together a diverse group of scientists to discuss future strategies to improve crops, to produce bio-fuel to assess plants in natural environments.
