Discovery Events

CSIRO Discovery has a range of events for all ages, such as public lectures, seminars, art/science exhibitions, book launches, film screenings and much more.

In celebration of World Wetlands Day (Feb 2), WetlandCare Australia presents an exhibition of the finalists in its fifth annual national art and photography competition, the theme of which is Wetlands, Tourism and Recreation.

Modelled on the great French tradition of cafe and salon debate, the Cafe Scientifique is a great chance to listen to or engage in a robust discussion with the great thinkers of our city.

CSIRO would like to invite you to a range of free public seminars in Canberra.

Artist Dirk Bouma uses oil and watercolour paintings to highlight some of the many beautiful features of this are of NSW close to the Belconnen border.

CSIRO Discovery Centre and DanceKids present an exciting 60-minute school holiday program for children aged 4 to 6 and 7 to 10. Using fun dance moves and fabulous costumes, we present the natural environment to kids in a truly unique context.

CSIRO is again proud to have on display this exciting exhibition highlighting some of the research carried out by CSIRO scientists at the Australian Synchrotron - a circular, megavoltage machine in Victoria that is about the size of a football field.

Join Dr Eva Papps as she delivers a variety of wonderful Science Art Workshops for Juniors, Seniors and Families during School Terms 1&2 at CSIRO Discovery.
