CSIRO Education aims to engage, enthuse and educate students, teachers and the wider community about science and its applications.
CSIRO Education ACT is a joint project with the ACT Department of Education and Training, The Australian National University and the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Catholic Education Office [external links].
School programs
We offer a range of curriculum linked hands-on science programs for students from Preschool - Year 12. These sessions are available either as excursions in centre or as incursions at your school via our "Lab on Legs" program. Topics range from photonics to forensics.
Scientists in Schools
Scientists in Schools is a learning experience that allows scientists and schools to work together across Australia in flexible, professional partnerships. CSIRO Education ACT provides support to local Scientists in Schools partnerships.

CSIRO's Double Helix Science Club events (Australian Capital Territory)
We run events for Double Helix members and school holiday programs for children 6 - 13 years old. Workshops allow children to investigate some fascinating areas of science while having great fun.
