Campaspe region: CSIRO Murray-Darling Basin Sustainable Yields Project

The Campaspe region is one of a series of 18 regions being assessed as part of the CSIRO Murray-Darling Basin Sustainable Yields Project.

Background

The Campaspe region is in northern Victoria and represents 0.4 per cent of the total area of the Murray-Darling Basin (MDB).

The region has a population of around 42 000 people concentrated in the centres of  Echuca, Rochester, Elmore, Heathcote and Kyneton.
