Australia’s climate is changing. Acting early to prepare for the impacts of climate change can reduce some of the costs and negative consequences for the nation.

Australia’s standard of living and our history of coping with an extremely variable climate give us a strong capacity to adapt to many of the expected changes global warming will bring.

CSIRO’s Climate Adaptation National Research Flagship is developing adaptation responses to counter the expected damaging effects of climate change. It will analyse future climate changes in Australia, deliver strategies to manage their impact, and develop new ways to combat and even benefit from these challenges.
