Executive Team

Dr Megan Clark is the Chief Executive of CSIRO.

As Deputy Chief Executive, Operations, Mike is responsible for CSIRO’s overall policy and governance framework, enterprise communication activities including Ministerial and Parliamentary liaison, as well as the effective delivery of strategic commercial services including chairing the CSIRO Commercial Executive Committee (ComEx).

Mr Craig Roy is responsible for a range of enterprise wide activities including strategy, science investment and prioritisation, human resources, health, safety and sustainability and enterprise planning and performance.

Dr James Moody is responsible for CSIRO's Business Development activities, international footprint and connections in the innovation system.

Dr Andrew Johnson is a leader of environment and sustainability-related research at CSIRO and a member of the Executive Team.

Dr Alastair Robertson leads the Food, Health and Life Science Industries Group in CSIRO. He has extensive research, policy and leadership experience in public and private sector research and development and industry, with a strong track record in food value chain around safety, quality and productivity issues.

As Group Executive Energy, Prof Beverley Ronalds has responsibilities across the Energy, Oceans and Mineral Resources domains supported by an annual budget of $220M. 

Dr Alex Zelinsky leads Information Sciences research at CSIRO that is delivering science outcomes that have significant value and global impact for Australia.

Dr Calum Drummond brings a national and global reputation for science excellence, and impact and leadership to CSIRO’s Executive Team.

As Chief Finance Officer (CFO), Ms Hazel Bennett is responsible for CSIRO’s Finance, Procurement and Property Groups.
