Loddon-Avoca region: CSIRO Murray-Darling Basin Sustainable Yields Project

The Loddon-Avoca region is one of a series of 18 regions being assessed as part of the CSIRO Murray-Darling Basin Sustainable Yields Project.

Background

The Loddon-Avoca region is in northern Victoria and represents 2.3 per cent of the total area of the Murray-Darling Basin (MDB).

The region has a population of around 142 000 people concentrated in the centres of Bendigo, St Arnaud, Charlton and Boort.
