Wimmera Region CSIRO Murray-Darling Basin Sustainable Yields Project

The Wimmera region is the third in a series of regions being assessed as part of the CSIRO Murray-Darling Basin Sustainable Yields Project.


The Wimmera region is in western Victoria and represents three per cent of the total area of the Murray-Darling Basin.

The region's population of about 50 000 is concentrated in the major centres of Horsham, Stawell and Ouyen.
