Teacher resources overview

CSIRO has many support materials available for teachers.

Teachers are the conduit between scientists, and the experience of science students.

Science teachers in high schools and primary teachers who teach science, need constant supplies of information, ideas, inspiration and opportunities to help them make science teaching and learning a positive experience.

CSIRO offers support for teachers through:

  • Teacher Workshops and Training that provide updates on scientific knowledge, new ways of teaching science and ideas for classroom use
  • Teacher Guides that provide references to science information, worksheets and other activities for use by students
  • excursion and incursion opportunities
  • supported schemes, award and competition programs such as the BHP Billiton Awards
  • classroom materials such as fact sheets and presentations
  • ScienceImage Online; a great source of science and environment images
