Senate order for production of indexed lists of agency files
In line with Senate requirements, CSIRO tables twice a year the indexed lists of files created in the Organisation’s central office.
- 17 March 2011 | Updated 14 October 2011
In 1994, the Senate agreed that each Minister should table indexed lists of files created in the central office of each Australian Government Department or Agency (Senate Continuing Order No. 5).
The lists are tabled twice a year (1 January to 30 June and 1 July to 31 December).
In late 1998, the Order was amended on the recommendation of the Finance and Public Administration References Committee, to require Government agencies to place the file list on their website at half-yearly intervals and then table a letter in Parliament confirming this.
The changed order applies to files created from 1 July 1998.
