Delivery is an open-source software package authored by the CSIRO for use in oil field appraisal.

Delivery software is a trace-based Bayesian seismic inversion code for use in oil reservoir characterisation at the early development and appraisal stage.

CSIRO's Delivery software has been applied to multiple discoveries in the Gulf of Mexico and offshore Western Australia and plans are underway to apply it to other sites.

The software is freely available from the CSIRO website.

Delivery is likely to have significant impacts on development decisions, as the seismic inversions provide estimates of the amount of oil or gas in the discoveries. The potential impact of improved appraisal data is in the range of A$10-100 million.
