The Helix Teacher's Guides

Bring new ideas to your classroom with The Helix Teacher's Guides, including lesson plans, black-line masters and other support material for teachers.

  • 1 October 2011 | Updated 1 February 2012

The Helix is a magazine of CSIRO's Double Helix Science Club. The Teacher’s Guide supports articles and activities in each issue of The Helix and will assist teachers to stimulate young minds about science with:

  • a contextualised teaching unit crossing different curriculum areas
  • a 'big issues' discussion topic
  • a science lesson plan.

All activities are linked to articles in the related issue of The Helix and many include black line masters.

Bulk subscribers to The Helix magazine receive a free print version of the Teacher's Guide. The order form for bulk subscriptions is available via the link on this page.
