Share your enthusiasm with the next generation through Scientists in Schools - an educational experience that allows scientists and schools to work together across Australia with the aim of providing inspiration, fun and learning for students, teachers and scientists alike.
Scientists in Schools creates and supports long-term partnerships between scientists/engineers and teachers. It is a national, high-profile program championed by Australia’s former Chief Scientist.
Scientists in Schools involves:

reports of staff involvement for organisations

numerous promotion and collaboration opportunities

all kinds of scientists and engineers, including PhD and postdoctoral students

schools at all levels from all over Australia.
There are over 2000 partnerships across Australia, and each one is unique. Together, teachers and scientists are:

mentoring students doing science projects

arranging site visits or excursions

running science fairs
-
working together on long-term science projects

setting up extra-curricular science clubs

providing links to current research
-
presenting hands-on science demonstrations

discussing science careers and 'hot topics'.
