1. Preview
films must be submitted in VHS format and must be clearly marked with the
title of the entry, the entrant's name and address.
2.
Multimedia entries must be submitted in the following formats only: Zip
disk, CD-ROM, DVD or URL.
3.
All entries must be in English or English narrated or subtitled.
4.
All entries must have been completed after 31 May 1998.
5.
An entry fee is to be paid for each piece of work submitted. Pieces of
work for which the payment has not been received will be ineligible for
the competition. Payment may be made by cheque (Australian dollars) or
credit card with the entry to:

6.
Science in Seconds and Student Short Film Competition: Entry form, entry
fees and entry must reach Scinema by 5pm 30 March 2001.
7.
Professional Science Film & Science Multimedia Competition: Entry form,
entry fee and entry must reach Scinema by 5pm 30 March 2001.
8.
Scinema will exercise all reasonable care with the entries submitted. However,
Scinema will not be responsible for the loss of, or damage to any entry
while in its custody.
9.
Each entrant is responsible for their own transit insurance.
10.
Confirmation of receipt of entry will not be sent unless a stamped, self-addressed
postcard is also included with the entry package.
11.
Entries will not be returned unless a postage paid package is supplied.
12.
If the production is selected as an official entry, film freight costs
to the festival will be paid by the entrant. Return freight on official
entries will be paid by the festival.
13.
The judging panel will be selected by Scinema.
14.
The judge's decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered
into.
15.
If the winning production(s) is a group entry, the group will decide how
prizes will be divided.
16.
Copyright resides entirely with the artist(s).
17.
Entrants shall allow up to 3 minutes of their works to be reproduced by
radio, newspaper, television and the Internet for promotional purposes.
18.
Entrants wishing to withdraw from Scinema must inform Scinema by 12th April
2001. Any entrant failing to do so will forfeit their entry fee.
19.
It is the responsibility of the entrant to inform Scinema of any changes
of address or contact details.
20.
Scinema reserves the right to retain any net profit derived from screenings
held under the Scinema banner during the festival period.
