STEM-INSIGHTS Network The STEM-INSIGHTS Network connects people and organisations working in STEM education and engagement across Australia to strengthen program quality, impact and equity. It is a space to share experience, learn from each other, surface evidence and best practice, and improve how programs are designed, delivered and evaluated. The Network focuses on understanding what works, for whom, and in what contexts – including for programs supporting low-opportunity and underrepresented communities. Who the Network is for The Network is open to people and organisations involved in STEM education and engagement, including: • Program providers and delivery organisations of all kinds, large and small • Funders and sponsors • Researchers and evaluators • Policy and sector organisations Whether you’re brand new to the sector or an experienced leader, we’d love to have you involved. What the Network supports • Sharing practical insights, challenges, and examples from real programs • Co-developing usable tools, templates, and guidance • Connecting people across roles, regions, and program types • Making sense of evidence, evaluation, and on-the-ground experience • Ongoing learning through meetings, working groups, and communities of practice Why be involved Being part of the Network supports collective learning and improvement across the sector. Through participation, members contribute to and learn from shared work on: • Program quality, outcomes, and impact • Evaluation and learning approaches • Equity-informed practice • Evidence-informed decision-making for design, delivery and funding How participation works The Network is hosted by CSIRO as a neutral convenor, providing support for collaborative, network-owned knowledge-sharing. Initial funding for the Network comes from multiple CSIRO programs that aim to increase the impact of STEM education across Australia. • There are no fees or mandatory commitments; the Network is designed for flexible, purpose driven involvement. • Connection points include email updates, monthly online meetings, working groups, annual in-person forums, and topic-based communities of practice. • Some members participate regularly; others engage when topics are relevant. All forms of participation are welcome. Learn more and connect www.csiro.au/STEM-INSIGHTS-Network Email questions to SInetwork@csiro.au
