Evaluate a learning activity

This guide will help you assess your STEM Professionals in Schools 
partnership activity and identify what worked well and what might 
be improved for the future.

Evaluation of partnership activities will assist you to 
reflect on how the activity went and you can share 
ideas for potential improvements or development.

Use the Learning activity evaluation template in this 
guide to record your reflections on the activity and 
then share these with your partner.

Support and assistance

Your STEM Professionals in Schools Program Support 
Officer is available to support your partnership 
if you need guidance or assistance. We also love 
sharing the stories of partnership activities that are 
happening around Australia to inspire and generate 
ideas for other partnerships.

Providing an activity update

Activity updates are a vital part of the program. They provide a 
mechanism for you to record activities and share your partnership 
experience with our team. Recording an activity update is easy to do:

1. Go to the CSIRO Education portal: education.csiro.au, and by clicking 
on the Sign in button and using your email address and password, 
sign in to your dashboard. 


*For participants who have not updated their password through the CSIRO 
Education portal since its upgrade on March 14 2022, please select Forgot 
your password? and follow the prompts using your email address. A valid 
mobile phone number will also be required for authentication purposes.

2. Once signed in, click on the Partnerships tile on your dashboard.
3. Select STEM Professionals in Schools.
4. Select Add activity (top right-hand corner).
5. Select Add new (top right-hand corner). An Activity Update Form 
will appear.
6. Complete the form, and then Submit.


You can also request assistance from a Program Support Officer via an 
activity update, if needed.

This Learning activity evaluation template will help you record the key aspects of the activity, any significant achievements and 
lessons learned for future planning. Share the evaluation with your partner and discussion whether your expectations were met.

Please remember to complete an activity update through the Education Portal.
