We are currently adapting our programs to tailored and virtual formats that will continue to help researchers create impact with their work.

ON Prime Virtual

ON Prime is a program for emerging and pre-existing projects, as well as the exploration of new technologies and projects for development. This program helps teams ensure they are working on the right problem, provides frameworks to create and test assumptions about their idea with customers and provides recommendations towards next steps.

Our new virtual format of ON Prime will be delivered over a series of live facilitated sessions over eight weeks, with teams also assigned weekly homework. All up the program will take approximately one day per week of your time.

If you'd like to be alerted about future program offerings, you can register your interest here .

The commitment

We expect a minimum of two people, up to a maximum of six people per team, to commit to the full ON experience.

ON Prime takes place over eight weeks from mid-September to mid-November. The commitment is approximately a day a week for each team member during that period including live, facilitated sessions and self-directed activities between sessions. Session dates can be found in the online application system.

The application process

Applications for ON Prime Virtual are submitted online in our application portal. An application takes approximately an hour to complete.

All applications that are submitted are reviewed by their sponsoring institute to ensure that each team has the full support of their sponsoring institute to participate in the program.

Applications undergo a comprehensive online evaluation process by a panel of external science leaders and commercial experts. Applications are judged per the eligibility criteria and are evaluated according to the description of the problem, end-users/customers, and solution.

Successful applicants are notified approximately two weeks after the application period has closed.
