National Science Week is an annual celebration of science and technology. Running from 12-20 August, there are more than 1000 events around Australia you can get involved in. Below are just a few we are participating in.

STEM in Schools

National, 18 August
STEM in Schools
is an exciting event celebrating science, technology, engineering and mathematics during National Science Week. The event invites schools to be part of an interactive virtual classroom forum with a panel of experts that will discuss all things space - think mission control, lasers, telescopes and space junk.

NASA Voyager missions at Questacon

Canberra, 1 August – 1 October
On your visit to Questacon , Australia's National Science and Technology Centre, during National Science Week take a look at the photo exhibition of images from NASA’s Voyager missions to the outer planets, and the role played by the CSIRO-managed Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex.

Science Alive

Adelaide, 5 - 6 August
Science Alive is an expo designed for all ages to immerse themselves in the fun  and excitement of learning about the world, discovering why things work and what they do.

Festival of Bright Ideas

Hobart, 11 - 12 August
Celebrate Tasmanian science and innovation at the Festival of Bright Ideas . Prepare to be engaged in hands-on science activities, performances, workshops, experiments, conversations and more.
