National Science Week is an annual celebration of science and technology. Running from 11-19 August, there are thousands of events being held around Australia that you can get involved in. Below are just a few we are participating in.

STEM in Schools 2018

STEM in Schools is our flagship event for National Science Week in 2018, and aims to help Australian schools and their communities celebrate careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The event invites schools to learn more about the types of STEM careers in their community, plus host a STEM professional and/or their local Federal parliamentarian at their school on the day.

Science Alive!

Science Alive! Adelaide, 3-5 August

The largest single interactive science exhibition in Australia brings together South Australia’s big names in science and technology. CSIRO will join over 60 exhibitors providing hands-on fun, it is interactive, dynamic, fun, and educational for all ages.

Science in ACTion

Science in ACTion Canberra, 10-11 August

This interactive science fair is for science enthusiasts of all ages. CSIRO will be one of more than 50 stallholders from local STEM organisations there to engage visitors with hands on activities that showcase how science is used in their every day work.

Sydney Science Festival

Sydney Science Festival Sydney, 11 August

Celebrate Super Science Saturday with explosive stage shows, hands-on experiments, live animals and even a few dinosaurs walking around. Curiosity is sure to be piqued, no matter your age.
