As part of National Science Week, we're hosting STEM in Schools, an event to help Australian schools and their communities celebrate careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM)

STEM in Schools is our flagship event for National Science Week in 2018, held on Friday 10 August.

This year's STEM in Schools event will be focused on encouraging students to learn more about STEM careers, with an emphasis on demonstrating the range of exciting careers and rewarding career journeys that could come from pursuing STEM subjects.

The event will kick off nationally with a special video at 11:30AM (AEST) and registered schools will have the opportunity to be partnered with a STEM professional and/or local Federal parliamentarian who will visit their school on the day. Registered schools will also be sent primary and secondary activities ahead of the event to help them shape the day, plus information on how to host their visiting STEM professional and/or local Federal parliamentarian.
