National Science Week is an annual celebration of science and technology. Running from 10-18 August, there are thousands of events being held around Australia that you can get involved in. Below are just a few we are participating in.

Science Alive!

Science Alive! – Adelaide, 3-4 August

The largest single interactive science exhibition in Australia, brings together South Australia's big names in science and technology. CSIRO will join over 60 exhibitors providing hands-on activities, it is interactive, dynamic, fun, and educational for all ages.

InterACTive Science

InterACTive Science – Canberra, 10 August

InterACTive Science will feature a number of rooms and break-out areas that will be transformed into hives of activity with booths and displays providing eye-catching and interactive exhibits.

Science in the City

Super Science Saturday– Sydney, 10 August

Celebrate Super Science Saturday with talks by world-leading researchers, hands-on workshops, exhibitions and family events exploring all areas of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM).

Festival of Bright Ideas

Festival of Bright Ideas – Hobart, 10 August

Science for the curious and creative. Interactive science experiences for all ages and interests brought to you by the world-leading Tasmanian science community. A community-focused festival that aims to ignite and inspire an interest in science through hands-on activities in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and everything in between.

Science in the Park

Science in the Park – Mornington Peninsula, 11 August

The Science in the Park event at the Coolart Wetlands and Homestead Reserve in Somers, will be the focus of free science activities on the Mornington Peninsula catering for all ages. There will be science presentations, eco-tours, science displays hands-on activities, wildlife monitoring, and education on sustainable practices in a unique wetland environment.

Brisbane Science Festival

Brisbane Science Festival – Brisbane, 17-18 August

The Brisbane Science Festival will bring science to life using a range of interactive activities, guest presentations, and captivating science demonstrations to show the relevance of science in everyday life. This festival is designed to spark and encourage interest in the sciences.

Perth Science Festival

Perth Science Festival – Perth, 24-25 August

CSIRO will be one of over 50 stallholders from various STEM organisations running interactive activities that target a range of ages from a little scientists corner for young children, to gaming technology for youth, and resource management and sustainability for adults.
