Thirty three students attended the summer school in Adelaide during December 2015.

Students heard from ASSETS Cultural Patron Professor Peter Buckskin as he spoke about culture and his experiences. Jamie Goldsmith walked us through the biodiversity and traditional uses of plants and animals at Living Kaurna Cultural Centre. Later the group prepared some ‘Johnny cakes’ and roo tails to cook at the fire pit.

Scientists from CSIRO Food and Nutrition and the University of Adelaide inspired students to lead investigations around health science and medicinal plant chemistry. Students also met and spoke with professionals in various fields and honed their science inquiry skills.
