The Inquiry for Indigenous Science Students program team are a diverse, unique and passionate group of people who bring their energy and skills to the task of raising the achievement, engagement and attendance levels of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in science.

    Alex holds a Bachelor of Science (Zoology, Marine Biology) from The University of Melbourne and a Graduate Diploma of Education (Middle Years) from La Trobe University. She spent a large portion of her teaching career in an Aboriginal Independent Community School in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, where she taught Upper Primary and was the Curriculum Coordinator. In Melbourne, Alex developed Inquiry and Project Based Learning curriculum in her role as a Science specialist teacher and collaborated to develop a school wide Indigenous Curriculum. Alex is passionate about improving educational outcomes for Indigenous students by utilising evidence based practices, driving high expectations and cementing a strong sense of identity through the celebration of culture.
