Are you excited about automation and robotics? Are you interested in the future of connected devices? Do you have a curiosity about what our food of the future might look like?

Applications are invited from teachers of Year 8 – 10 science, mathematics, technology, and computer studies to participate in the CSIRO Teacher Researcher in Partnership Program (TRiPP) for 2019.

This program is part of one of the ten Future Science Platforms (FSPs) being run by CSIRO - Active Integrated Matter (AIM) researching new materials, the future interactions within the digital world. The goal for TRiPP is to ensure that in 10 years Australia has the workforce that is required to realise the vision for the future.

The program will provide successful teachers with:

  • The opportunity to undertake a short research project with a researcher.
  • Research projects will be in the area of Active Integrated Matter (AIM). Harnessing digital technology, autonomous systems, and materials science to deliver the transdisciplinary scientific breakthroughs needed for Enlightened Industry, or Industry 5.0. It helps industry tackle global challenges and take advantage of future trends.
  • AIM uses CSIRO expertise in materials, robotics, processing and sensing technologies and autonomous science to bridge the gap between improving what’s currently possible and paving the way for what soon will be.

A limited number of projects will be available, if interested please send through your expression of interest. A travel bursary is available to assist regional teachers, please contact us to find out more.
