NASA and CSIRO: partners in space

From the first steps on the Moon to the edge of the Solar System, we've been working with NASA. In September 2017, the CSIRO-managed Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex was the prime tracking station for the end of Cassini's mission at Saturn.

The CDSCC is part of NASA's Deep Space Network (DSN). The DSN is an international network of antennas that supports interplanetary spacecraft missions and radio and radar astronomy observations for the exploration of the Solar System and the universe.

Our Parkes radio telescope, along with NASA's antenna at Honeysuckle Creek near Canberra, played a key role in televising one of humanity's most significant achievements.
