    CSIRO Chile Board Chairman - CSIRO Executive

    General Manager CSIRO GLOBAL, responsible for supporting CSIRO’s global growth agenda and the building and coordination of international programs. He has been Australia’s Consul-General and Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner based in San Francisco, CA and Senior Trade Commissioner Latin America, based in Santiago, Chile.

  • Tom Munyard

    CSIRO Chile Board Member - CSIRO Executive

    Mr Tom Munyard is Chief Finance Officer of CSIRO. He seeks to ensure the financial sustainability through robust, risk-based commercial and financial frameworks for Executive, Board and line management decision-making. He is a qualified Member of CPA Australia and has served on Australian Federal Government.

  • Alejandro Foxley

    CSIRO Chile Board Member - CSIRO Chile

    Dr Alejandro Foxley has a PhD in Economy and formerly held the positions of Treasury Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Senator of the Republic of Chile. Since 2009, Mr Alejandro Foxley has been the President of CIEPLAN, a leading national think tank focused on economic and public policy in this country.

  • Jonathan Law

    CSIRO Chile Board Member - Mineral Resources

    Mr Jonathan Law is the Director of the CSIRO's Mineral Resources Business Unit. He leads CSIRO's minerals research and works with industry to address Australia's challenges in the minerals domain.

  • Claudia Bobadilla

    CSIRO Chile Board member - CSIRO Chile

    Lawyer, UDP, Chile. Has experience in technological and scientific innovation projects, entrepreneurship managing organizations and corporate director. Member of the Boards of AES Gener, “Engineering 2030”- UC University, of Trustees of Associated Universities Inc. USA, of the National Council for Innovation and Development, Chile, of Wild life Conservation Society and Imagen de Chile Foundation.


Executive

  • Orlando Jiménez

    Executive Director - CSIRO Chile

    Dr Orlando Jiménez is Executive Director for the CSIRO Chile Research Foundation. He is an Oxford University graduate and senior research associate with over 20 years of experience in public and private sectors implementing large scale, multi- stakeholders initiatives in Latin America.

  • Sue Brown

    Chief Operations Officer - CSIRO Chile

    Dr Sue Brown is currently the Chief Operations Officer for CSIRO Chile, helping manage operational and strategic aspects of CSIRO in Chile. Prior she worked as an Executive Officer for 9 years, providing strategic and science support for the CSIRO Executives for several large research portfolios. She also worked as a chemistry/biochemistry researcher for more than 20 years.

  • Patricio Venegas

    Chief Finance Officer - CSIRO Chile

    Dr Patricio Venegas is responsible for Finance at CSIRO Chile and the strategic planning for its commercial activities. He holds a PhD in strategy and an MBA from Universidad Católica de Chile. His experience includes executive positions in finance, administration and business development.

  • Patricio Bernal

    Research Program Director, Marine and Coastal Ecosystems - CSIRO Chile

    Former Director of the Fishing promotion Inst. IFOP, and former Undersecretary of Fisheries in Chile. He was the Executive Secretary of the Intergov. Oceanographic Commission and Deputy Director-General of UNESCO. He directed the development of the ocean observation at the Indian Ocean tsunami warning system and coordinated 7 bodies UN Ocean programs, where is now member of the panel of experts.

  • Angus McFarlane

    Research Program Director, Mining and Mineral Resources - CSIRO Chile

    Dr Angus McFarlane is the Research Director for Mineral Resources in CSIRO Chile. Previously he was responsible for supervision and technical direction of CSIRO Chile projects from Australia. He has vast experience in applied research on mineral processing (New Zealand china clays y BHP) and academia (Queensland/ JKMRC).

  • Edmundo Claro

    Research Program Director, Land & Water - CSIRO Chile

    Dr Edmundo Claro is the Research Program Director for Land and Water projects at CSIRO Chile. His main focus is integrated basin management for Chile’s water resources. Dr Claro has a PhD from Cambridge in Land Economy and over 20 years experience working in the public, private and academic sectors, as well as with non-government organisations.
