  • Please ensure you meet the essential criteria and review our FAQs before submitting this application form. Essential criteria includes:
    • A business based and operating in Australia
    • An Australian registered and operating business with an ABN and ACN/ICN.
      Please note: Sole traders and Partnerships are not eligible to apply for the program. Businesses need to be registered and have their primary place of business within Australia (Australian subsidiary companies of foreign entities are not eligible).
    • A business classified as small to medium (less than 200 employees).
    • A business currently, or in the early stages of, exploring R&D opportunities for their business and have a clean energy idea to work on throughout the course.
  • Enter details for the person from your company who will be participating in the webinars and submitting documents (please ensure you provide the correct contact details) and have permission to attend (if relevant).
  • If we have more applications than places available, we may include region or sub-sector as well as suitability to make our final list. This helps to provide diversity in the program cohort.
  • Applications for this program will close on Sunday 23 June 2024. We will notify you of the outcome within two weeks of the closing date.

Privacy Statement:

Your personal information is protected by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act). CSIRO will handle your information in accordance with this Act and the National Health & Medical Research Council (NH&MRC) National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (2007, updated 2018), or as otherwise required by law.

Your personal information, including your name, mobile number, email, address and company details is being collected for the purposes of conducting the Innovate to Grow program.

CSIRO may also incidentally collect images of you, or recordings of your image and/or voice, which may be sensitive information, as part of the audio-visual recorded workshops to allow participants to watch-back workshop sessions. However, CSIRO will not use this information for any purpose outside of this purpose.

CSIRO may disclose your personal information, by virtue of your participation, to other participants in the cohort/webinars/mentor groups etc for the purposes outlined above.

CSIRO does not intend to disclose your personal information overseas. However, some incidental overseas disclosure may occur in the conduct of an interview or in ordinary correspondence, particularly where some participants are located overseas, or where CSIRO engages third-party products or platforms to facilitate the program. For this program, CSIRO has partnered with Intersective Pty Ltd trading as ‘Practera’ (Practera) which is a global company with servers based in Australia and overseas. The program also uses the Zoom platform which is a global company with servers based in Australia and overseas. While CSIRO has taken steps to ensure your personal information is held in Australia, it cannot completely remove the risk that your personal information may be transferred to servers located outside Australia.

Practera will also continue to have access to your personal information after the end of the program for the following reasons:

  • To share alumni opportunities
  • Generate possible case studies and preparation for future cohorts
  • To demonstrate the success of the program using reporting and for various data analysis and tracking purposes

Accordingly, by participating in the program, you consent to the transfer of your personal information to servers located outside of Australia and you acknowledge that this information may not be subject to the requirements of the Privacy Act. If you have any concerns about this, you should not participate in the program.

Results from the project, other than direct quotes provided by participants, will be de-identified and/or aggregated and published/presented or shared in a variety of forums and with third parties. This includes end of program reports which may be provided to IP Australia and sponsors of the program, such as partners that have sponsored a particular sector/cohort.

While CSIRO will make all attempts to ensure you cannot be reidentified from the information contained within the publications, this risk can never be completely removed. It is possible that you may be able to be reidentified within the publications due to cross-referencing other databases available to the public or by unique information known to an individual e.g. as a colleague or an individual with public knowledge of your organisation. Your personal details including your name and organisation name will only be published with your explicit consent.
