What we do
We can service the research needs of food, beverage, ingredient, and supplement businesses, from discovery and development to scientific validation of market-ready foods, supplements and ingredients.
Scientific findings from our research are often published in international journals and, where we can, we aim to provide tangible outcomes and programs for people to use in the community.
One of the most well known outcomes is the CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet, which began as a nutrition weight loss trial.
Our world-class Nutrition and Health Research Clinic is located on the ground floor of the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI).
The Nutrition and Health Research Clinic houses:
- eight multi-purpose clinic wet rooms
- four private consulting rooms
- health diagnostic capacity, including DXA and BIA
- a kitchen and lounge for day visits.
