This month in Resourceful, we open with a major step for Australia’s advanced manufacturing capability with the launch of the Queensland Advanced Photonics Packaging Centre, the nation’s first dedicated facility for packaging photonic chips.
The new Q-APP facility will help bridge the gap between lab-based research and real-world technologies. For the mining and resources sector, Q-APP will enable new technologies that can support smarter, safer and more precise operations, from advanced sensing and communications to quantum-enabled systems and automation.
We also look at CSIRO research exploring ‘orange hydrogen’, a potential new pathway for producing low-emissions hydrogen while permanently storing carbon dioxide in iron-rich rocks.
And again we invite you to connect with us at some upcoming conferences.
