CSIRO NatureIQ is a natural capital assessment Software as a Service (SaaS) product designed to help sustainability leaders develop their nature-positive strategy.

The product combines multiple CSIRO environmental indicators that can be used to assess and disclose organisational impacts on biodiversity.

Become a CSIRO NatureIQ early adopter

Step 1: Submit your expression of interest by 15 April, 2024 

Tell us about about the current state of natural capital assessment in your business and future plans. This ensures we get a good understanding of your intentions and expectations so we can cater the program to your needs. Places in the EAP are strictly limited, so lodge your EOI early.

Step 2: Take advantage of our early adopter discount

If you’re selected for the program, you’ll receive a digital EAP welcome pack. Sign the CSIRO agreement and receive your one-time special EAP discount for the first three months.

Note: Limits to data processing, hosting and support time apply.

Step 3: Get set up on the platform

We’ll help you set up your CSIRO NatureIQ account. The geospatial platform requires a range of information from you, including:

  • asset locations (address, cadastral boundaries)
  • asset metadata (ownership start year, organisational structure)
  • prospective restoration location sites.

Step 4: Analyse your biodiversity impacts

Review dashboards and browse geospatial views to review your impacts on biodiversity. CSIRO NatureIQ’s integrated, habitat condition-based analysis allows you to: 

  • monitor and report on past to present biodiversity changes within any area  using three Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosure (TNFD) metrics:
  • ecosystem condition, threatened species habitat area and species extinction risk
  • identify current priority areas for restoration or protection 
  • forecast the expected future change in biodiversity given a proposed set of actions.

Step 5: Take the next step and upgrade your CSIRO NatureIQ plan

Upgrade your plan to meet company requirements for corporate sustainability disclosures. CSIRO NatureIQ provides data-driven insights to help you meet industry reporting requirements, including:

  • The Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures
  • Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive
  • Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence
  • Science Based Target Network
  • Global Reporting Initiative and International Finance Corporation Performance Standard 6.

An upgraded plan gives you increased reporting capacity and features, with options to load your entire asset portfolio and invite more colleagues.

If you choose to wrap up at the end of the EAP, your data and any other information will be securely cleared.
