Information Publication Scheme
CSIRO publishes information on this site as part of the Information Publication Scheme, set up under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth) to promote public access to information held by government agencies.
The Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth) (FOI Act) gives a general right to the public and to staff to seek access to documents held by CSIRO.
From the 2017-18 financial year CSIRO, along with other Australian Government agencies, will be providing greater transparency of remuneration of our senior executives and staff members earning above $200,001 per annum. The below tables outlines annual reportable remuneration, which includes gross payments, reportable fringe benefits, reportable employer superannuation, allowances, bonuses and at-risk salary components.
Notices - Section 72 of PGPA
The purpose of Subsection 72 of the PGPA Act is to help ensure transparency about government operations relating to companies by requiring meaningful information to be given to Parliament about those operations.

Senate Order for Entity Contracts
In line with the Senate Order for Entity Contracts, CSIRO is required to publish twice a year on its website a list of all current contracts with a value of $100,000 or more.
In line with Senate requirements, CSIRO tables twice a year the indexed lists of files created in the Organisation’s central office. Information about the requirement for Government agencies to place the file list on their website at half-yearly intervals and then table a letter in Parliament confirming this.
Public Interest Disclosure Scheme
The CSIRO PID Scheme is available to ‘Public Officials’ to make public interest disclosures.
