Plastic-and-marine-life

There is essentially two things that happen to animals that interact with plastic. They can get tangled in it, or they can ingest it, and if they ingest it it can block their gut, it displaces food, it can pierce their guy, all kinds of things, and both of these things cause major impacts, probably to turtles, seabirds, whales, things like seals. So we are slowly working our way through trying to understand these major species groups and what the impact of this source of pollution is on them.
