Where does plastic come from

Transcript

Most plastic in the marine environment is actually coming from land. It basically flows into the ocean from our rivers, from wind, from us carrying it to the beaches, and a little bit falls of ships, but most of its actually coming from us on land and it’s a major source of pollution in the ocean. So there can be, in really dense areas, maybe 600,000 pieces of plastic in a square kilometer of ocean.
